She likes chocolate in the morning
She drinks her coffee late at night
You can sense that she is guarded
But that’s alright
She’ll fall asleep while your still talking
With unfinished books beside her bed
She’ll cancel all of her appointments
And go shopping instead
And in spite of what is right
Far beyond what she’d except
When the moon begs the question
Will you have the answer yet?
Can’t you just adore her?
Can’t you just adore her?
She loves to watch the sunset
But she is partial to the rain
With those tears and that umbrella
Her allure goes unexplained
You made dinner in your apartment
You both assume that she’ll be late
She always has the best intentions
Her goodness is innate
And in spite of what is right
Far beyond what she’d except
When the moon begs the question
Will you have the answer yet
Can’t you just adore her?
Can’t you just adore her?
Why can’t you just adore her?
I like chocolate in the morning
I drink my coffee late at night
How beautiful the hands that served
the wine and the bread
and the sons of the earth.
How beautiful the feet that walked
the long dusty roads
and the hills to the cross.
How beautiful
how beautiful
how beautiful is the body of Christ.
How beautiful the heart that bled
that took all my sin
and bore it instead.
How beautiful the tender eyes
that chose to forgive
and never despise.
How beautiful
how beautiful
how beautiful is the body of Christ.
And as He laid down His life
we offer this sacrifice
that we will live just as he died:
willing to pay the price
willing to pay the price.
How beautiful the radient Bride
who waits for her Groom
with His light in her eyes.
How beautiful when humble hearts give
the fruit of pure lives
so that others may live.
How beautiful
how beautiful
how beautiful is the body of Christ.
How beautiful the feet that bring
the sound of good news
and the love of the King.
How beautiful the hands that serve
the wine and the bread
and the sons of the earth.
How beautiful
how beautiful
how beautiful is the body of Christ.
Who could imagine a melody
True enough to tell of Your mercy?
Who could imagine a harmony
Sweet enough to tell of Your love?
I see the heavens proclaiming day after day,
And I know in my heart that there must be a way
To sing a greater song,
A greater song to You on the earth.
To sing a greater song,
A greater song to You on the earth.
Who could imagine a symphony,
Grand enough to tell of Your glory?
Our highest praise but a feeble breath
A whisper of Your thunderous worth.
I see the heavens proclaiming day after day,
And I know in my heart that there must be a way
To sing a greater song,
A greater song to You on the earth.
To sing a greater song,
A greater song to You on the earth.
Hallelujah, we want to lift You higher,
Hallelujah, we want to lift You higher.
I see the heavens proclaiming day after day,
And I know in my heart that there must be a way
Hallelujah, we want to lift You higher,
Hallelujah, we want to lift You higher.
wOohOo! I did a few crunches, few minutes at treadmill and few minutes at elyptical. i’m sweating and catching my breathe like crazy. i just need to push myself more and more. I saw this lady beside me she looks like in the mid-50s and I was amazed how she do her exercise. I was doing some kind of stetching when i saw her doing crunches with the biggie equipment so i joined her. Oviously i’m not doing the right way so she just taught me some points how to do it. Ugh.. now my tummy hurts. i think i’m gonna need some advil later.
After 2 weeks i skipped at the gym i felt like all the pounds i lose has gained back. I really need to push myself to do it!
a  GUY who calls you beautiful instead of hot..
who calls you back when you HANG UP ON HIM..who will stay awake just to watch you sleep..
Wait for the guy who kisses your forehead..
who wants to show you off to the world when you are in your sweats..
who holds your hand in front of his friends..
Wait for the one who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares about you and how lucky he is to have you. .
Wait for the one who turns to his friends and says, “…that’s her.”
First, some of us survived being born to mothers who did not have an OB-Gyne and drank San Miguel Beer while they carried us.  a te isaw, and didn’t worry about diabetes.
While pregnant, they took cold or cough medicine,
Then after all that trauma, our baby cribs were made of hard wood covered with lead-based paints, pati na yung walker natin, matigas na kahoy din at wala pang gulong.
We had no soft cushy cribs that play music, no disposable diapers (lampin lang), and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, no kneepads , sometimes wala pang preno yung bisikleta.
(yung JD bus na pula), or cars with no airconditioning & no seat belts  (ngayon lahat may aircon na)
As children, we would ride in hot un-airconditioned buses with wooden seats
Riding on the back of a carabao on a breezy summer day was considered a treat. (ngayon hindi na nakakakita ng kalabaw ang mga bata)
We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle purchased from 711 (minsan straight from the faucet or poso)
We shared one soft drink bottle with four of our friends, and NO ONE actually died from this.
Â
We ate rice with star margarine, drank raw eggs straight from the shell, Â and drank sofdrinks with real sugar in it (hindi diet coke), but we weren’t sick or overweight kasi nga……
WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!
We would leave home in the morning and play all day, and get back when the streetlights came on. Sarap mag patintero, tumbang preso, habulan at taguan.
No one was able to reach us all day ( di uso ang cellphone , walang beepers ) . And yes, we were O.K.
We would spend hours building our wooden trolleys (yung bearing ang gulong) or plywood slides out of scraps and then ride down the street , only to find out we forgot the brakes! Â After hitting the sidewalk or falling into a canal (seweage channel) a few times, we learned to solve the problem ourselves with our bare & dirty hands .
We did not have Playstations, Nintendo’s, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 100 channels on cable, no DVD movies, no surround stereo, no IPOD’s, Â no cell phones, no computers, no Internet, no chat rooms, and no Friendsters. …… …WE HAD REAL FRIENDS and we went outside to actually talk and play with them!
We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no stupid lawsuits from these accidents. The only rubbing we get is from our friends with the words..masakit ba ? pero pag galit yung kalaro mo,,,,ang sasabihin sa iyo..beh buti nga !
We played marbles (jolens) in the dirt , washed our hands just a little and ate dirty ice cream & fish balls. we were not afraid of getting germs in our stomachs.
We had to live with homemade guns ” gawa sa kahoy, tinali ng rubberband , sumpit , tirador at kung ano ano pa na puedeng makasakitan. .pero masaya pa rin ang lahat.
We made up games with sticks ( syatong ), and cans ( tumbang preso)and although we were told they were dangerous, wala naman tayong binulag o napatay.paminsan minsan may nabubukulan lang.
We walked, rode bikes, or took tricycles to a friend’s house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just yelled for them to jump out the window!
Mini basketball teams had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn’t pass had to learn to deal with the disappointment. Wala yang mga childhood depression at damaged self esteem ek-ek na yan.. Ang pikon, talo. Â
Ang magulang ay nandoon lang para tignan kung ayos lang ang mga bata, hindi para makialam at makipag-away sa ibang parents.
That generation of ours has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers, creative thinkers and successful professionals ever! They are the CEO’s, Engineers, Doctors, Nurses and Military Generals of today. Â
The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.
We had failure, success, and responsibility. We learned from our mistakes the hard way.
You might want to share this with others who’ve had the luck to grow up as real kids. We were lucky indeed. Â
And if you like, forward it to your kids too, so they will know how brave their parents were.
It makes you wanna go out and climb a tree, doesn’t it?!
